About the Role:
Champak, India’s beloved children’s magazine, is inviting applications for a Content Writer to create engaging content for our magazine, website, newsletters, and social media. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in content writing and digital storytelling, with a flair for crafting fun, SEO-optimised content tailored for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and write engaging features for children on animals, science experiments, riddles, quizzes, and interviews (with professionals, educators, and children).
• Write both long-form (600–1200 words) and short-form content in an engaging tone with speed and factual accuracy.
• Create interactive, clickbait-style, and SEO-optimised content that captivates young readers.
• Develop fresh ideas and innovative formats to present content.
• Stay updated with social media trends and incorporate them into digital content.
• Work with editorial, social media and marketing teams to understand content requirements and develop content accordingly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Liberal Arts, English Literature, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in digital content writing (online magazines, interactive websites, etc.).
• Strong command of English, with a creative mindset.
• Technical proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and Google Workspace.
• A team player with creativity, problem-solving skills, and an ability to adhere to deadlines.
• Experience in writing for children with an understanding of their interests would be preferable but is not a must-have.
