Last night, I had a funny dream,
something to do with mice, cheese and cream.
Holding a torch tight in my hand,
I went to the kitchen.
And there I saw a fight between two mice,
over a slice of cheese.
Both were the same height,
and were pulling with full might.
But then as I saw,
the second mouse won.
The plight of the first mouse made me sad,
but then I thought that at least one is glad!

My mother has been my inspiration from day one,
she is the one who taught me to shine like the sun.
She knows what is wrong and right,
she tells me to always be polite.
My mother is the best.

What did I see in the sky at night?
Was it silver or diamond shining so bright?
It was rhombus in shape,
as small as a piece of crape.
They were uncountable,
and they made a constellation and that was a table.
How beautifully they shined at night,
it was such a beautiful sight.
Yesterday, my teacher explained to me,
that they are the stars of our galaxy.
Thanks to my teacher for telling me this,
Because I thought them to be fairies’ wings.

Once there was a girl called Sanya. Her father
wanted her brother, Sumit, to fulfil his dream of
climbing the Mount Everest. He told his son to join
a mountaineering course. Sanya wanted to join as
well and so she started going for classes. She even
continued going for classes during summer
vacations. After a few years, she was selected to
climb the Mount Everest along with her coach and
a group of mountaineers. She climbed the
mountain and her father was proud of her. He
realised that girls too can achieve everything.

Ramu was an eight-year-old boy. One day, his
father bought him a tablet which had a lot of
games. From that day on, Ramu wanted to play
with the tablet all the time. But his mother would
let him play only after he finished his homework.
One morning, Ramu pretended to have stomach pain
so that he could take leave. He thought he could
play games the entire day. But his mother said she
will take him to the doctor. Ramu got scared and
confessed that he was only pretending. His mother
was shocked, but she did not scold him. She
explained why he should never lie and that school
and games are equally important. Ramu realised
his mistake and apologised to his mother.

Observe the traffic and pollution,
where is its solution?
I see in my own neighbourhood this sight,
it’s not a matter to be taken light.
I see the leave and trees crying,
and the burnt fallen leaves lying.
I wish that it stops soon,
otherwise we’ll have to take refuge on the moon.
Plant trees and take care of them,
so that our lives don’t go in vain.
