The second edition of Read A Kitaab Lit Fest brought together children, parents, and many wonderful books on 28 February and 1 March, 2026, at Title Waves, Bandra, Mumbai.
Book festivals are special places. When you walk through them, you discover stories you didn’t know about, meet authors, and sometimes find a book that becomes your favourite.
Often, parents rediscover the books they loved as children and share them with their kids. Like Darsha Narayan, who said:“I used to buy Champak for my daughter when I was busy working. Now she buys it for her daughter, who has her own Champak collection.”
Three generations of Champak readers!
That is what books do. They travel from one generation to the next, opening new worlds for every reader.
Co-founder of the event, Anurag Kothari, said:
“I’ve been reading Champak since I was three. My family nicknamed me Cheeku after a character.”
Book festivals remind us that reading helps children explore the world, learn new things, and grow their imagination. As author Ranjit Hoskote said:
“I cannot imagine growing up without reading.”
Do attend book festivals or book readings when you get a chance!
