Children are at the centre of what we do.
We believe that children learn best when they feel safe to wonder, ask questions, think independently, and make their own decisions. Our stories are hence designed to help children understand the world with confidence, curiosity, and hope—not fear.
Every Champak magazine issue aims to meet the child exactly where they are.

The Quiet Power of Stories
STORIES CREATE HEROES
Indian - American astronaut Kalpana Chawla, a childhood fan of Champak, reached our to the editor to carry a memento with her on a NASA mission in the space shuttle Columbia.
We sent her a T-shirt with a Champak logo on it.
YOU SPEAK, WE HEAR
We read all letters and drawings that are sent in by children. For over 55 years, we read, responded to, and published lakhs of letters, poems, and drawings sent by children.
A child wrote to us that her whole school calls her a little scientist because she performed an experiment from Champak. Another asked about how to take care of strays, and the one most recent was how to feed the fish in her aquarium. They send us letters about how they face bullying in school, how to be a better sibling, or how they get angry when their parents don’t listen to them.
The team answers every letter sent to us, whether through the magazine or by mail.
Most importantly, we have learnt that children want to be heard, they have stories to share, and they want to feel safe, loved and respected by the adults in their world!
