Witnessing many jolts, Chelsea and David’s passenger boat was moving ahead in the river. David was standing on the deck and was appreciating the beauty of the islands with the help of his binoculars.
Chelsea said, “Brother, these islands look so pretty from the distance, I wonder what they would look like if we were close to them. I haven’t seen so much greenery ever; I want to live here forever.”
“Yes, yes. Why not?! There are many islands in India. There are only a few that are inhabited by people. The rest are all empty, you could live in one of them,” David said.
“Don’t make fun of me, brother,” Chelsea said.
Just when the two of them were busy talking, the weather changed its course, the wind became stronger and the clouds became even darker. Soon the strong winds turned into storm and their boat took a different turn.
All the passengers in the boat were scared. They were hoping for the storm to end.
The storm left the boat in an unknown island. The passengers came out of the boat and started talking amongst each other.
Just then, the captain of the boat, said: “The boat is broken. We will have to repair it. We will not be able to proceed without repairing it.”
David asked, “How long will it take for the boat to get repaired. Where are we?”
“I don’t know where we are. I have been sailing boats for years now. But I have never seen this island. Our boat is in a bad condition. We will have to look for important things that could help repair this boat. Help me!” the boat captain said.
“All right. We will try to help you out,” David and the other passengers said.
All the passengers divided themselves into groups and started looking for materials that could help repair the boat.
In David and Chelsea’s group, there was a boy named Ambuj. He was talking a lot and managed to engage the entire group in his talk. The group lost its way and went off track in the jungle.
Chelsea was worried and said, “We have come very far. We should leave now.”
“Yes, you are right. It’s all because of Ambuj,” David angrily said.
Just when the entire group was talking, a huge animal approached towards the group. It was a dinosaur.
When David realised it was a dinosaur, he yelled, “Oh no! There are living dinosaurs in this island. We will have to run now.”
The dinosaur was running furiously behind the group. There was a trench right in front of the group. All of them decided to jump into it. The dinosaur snooped around the trench but he was too big for it. He got irritated and left.
“The dinosaur has seen us. He must be hiding somewhere around. What should we do?”Ambuj said while his hands and legs were trembling with fear.
Just then, Chelsea noticed a lot of leaves. She said, “There is something under those leaves.”
“Those are dinosaur eggs. There is definitely a dinosaur here. This place is very dangerous. We will have to get out of here,” David said.
The group was slowly moving out of the trench.
Ambuj slyly picked up two eggs that were hidden beneath the leaves and walked along with the rest of the group.
The group carefully kept moving but then suddenly a herd of dinosaur approached them again.
Chelsea said, “There is something wrong.”
“Don’t be scared Chelsea. We will have to reach the river and then we can get out of this island,” David said.
Meanwhile, Ambuj dropped his bag. He told David, “David, please pick up my bag, there are important things in it.”
David picked up the bag but while closing the zip, he noticed the eggs and angrily said, “Ambuj, what have you done? You stole the dinosaur’s eggs. That’s why they are running after us.”
“You put us in danger,” everyone said to Ambuj.
“Oh! Don’t be silly! If we sell these eggs, we will get a lot of money,” Ambuj said while trying to snatch his bag from David.
The group reached close to the river. But as soon as they reached, around 8-10 dinosaurs were there. Everyone started to tremble with fear. They didn’t know what to do.
David said, “Ambuj, I am sure, they have come to take their eggs. Just return it to them.”
“I am afraid to go close to them,” Ambuj said.
“Give your bag to me. I will have to do something about it,” David said.
Ambuj gave his bag to David.
David slowly walked on his knees and kept the eggs on the ground.
The dinosaurs saw the eggs and started rolling their eyes. One moment they would stare at David and in the other moment, they would stare at their eggs.
But soon they took their eggs and walked away from the group.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They kept walking beside the river and reached the island. They found their boat standing there.
By then, the boat was repaired. They quickly got into the boat and left the island.
David and Chelsea were thrilled to have met dinosaurs. David said to Chelsea, “I will remember this adventure all my life.”
