Role Overview:
Champak is looking for a DTP Operator to join our Mumbai office. You’ll craft engaging designs for print and digital publications, ensuring visually appealing layouts that meet project needs. If you’re passionate about design and eager to grow, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, and typeset manuscripts for print and digital publications.
- Operate adobe creative Suite to ensure accurate alignment, font consistency, and design integrity across publications, (Indesign is a must)
- Conduct pre-press checks and generate error-free, print-ready files.
- Collaborate with the design and editorial teams to ensure the seamless integration of text and graphics.
- Coordinate with printing vendors to ensure quality production and resolve technical issues.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Diploma or Certification in Desktop Publishing, Printing Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a DTP Operator in the publishing industry.
- Hands-on experience in typesetting books, magazines, and digital publications for children.
- Knowledge of multilingual DTP work is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in DTP software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and Quarkxpress.
- Strong knowledge of printing processes, color calibration, and paper selection.
- Familiarity with file formats, PDF creation, and pre-press production workflows.
- Understanding of pagination, layout standards, and typesetting rules.
- Able to understand the design style guide and take it forward in the layouts.

- Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues related to printing and formatting.
