Dignity

You get dignity,

When you stop thinking wrong

When you do what you learn right

You can live dignified,

When you live a lifestyle that,

matches your vision.

You can get dignity

when you renounce the “ego of individuality”.

and rejoice ups and downs of life.

There is dignity,

when you have good thoughts,

in your heart and mind.

Summer

The warmth on my skin,

The heat on my face,

Humidity in the air,

The sweat after a race.

Longer days with fun and joy,

Is what summer brings.

The sky in a brilliant shade of blue,

And so many more things.

The cold, tingling feeling of the pool,

As our skin gives a sigh of relief.

Our minds thinking of the lazy days,

When nobody is in grief.

The sun shines merrily above the horizon,

Sharing its heat and light.

A smile on everybody’s face,

As our hearts are filled with delight!

Life of an Ant and a Spider

Behind the bush, upon the mound,

ants are moving without a sound.

Leaves are passed along the chain,

where ants are lined as one.

Strands of silver make its net,

a fly is caught in its web;

Now it’s too late,

the spider comes to seal its fate.

They march on to feed the queen,

deep below she lays unseen.

Workers feed the silent drones,

in their capsule breeding zones.

The spider shoots its webs to reach,

across the ever-widening breach.

Swinging on a single thread,

beyond the gap, the web is spread

Rainbow Family Pleasantness

One day came a long, serene rain,

Saplings, plants, farmers, reservoirs smiled again.

Others gave a frown of pain,

Due to foresight, there was no stink or overflowing drains.

Then arose the shining sun,

It was curtains up for a boon.

I looked up with elegant smile,

Sweet rainbow appeared within a mile.

I met the rainbow at the horizon,

It was a joyful, lovely reunion.

Lovely as a Tree

I think I shall never see,

A poem lovely as a tree.

I like to see a pink flower,

But I don’t like to see plucked flower.

I like to hear the bird’s rhymes,

But I don’t like to do crimes.

I like to see plants increase,

But I don’t like to see plants decrease.

To plant a tree we take more time, To destroy a tree we take less time.

To destroy a tree we take less time.

Save trees for our generation.

The Ocean

As I look from the edge of the ocean,

Glimmering golden, for it’s almost dawn,

So many waves coming towards me,

And yet I know, there’s a lot more going on.

The ocean stretches for miles around,

So many creatures with fins and gills,

So many miles below the ground.

The waves are splashing closer and closer,

As I realise the world is bigger than it seems,

As I stare into the ocean,

In golden light, it gleams.

Mother’s Love

One big oak tree,
Which was very hollow,
On it rested,
The nest of a swallow.
The swallow had babies,
In her little home,
Soon the mother flew away,
For food in a dome.
Just then a hunter came,
For the meat in the nest.
With ruthless thoughts,
He was a pest.
The mother came back,
And fought with the crook.
She got scratches everywhere,
But did not hide in a nook.
The she-bird flew away,
With her children, she snatched.
For a mother’s love,
Can never be matched.
Seeing the will-power,
Of the little swallow,
The hunter was taken aback,
And left the tree hollow.

Our Motherland

The land of diversity,

Where people live in harmony.

Different cultures and customs,

And different castes and religions

Our history today tells us all,

About great leaders and freedom fighters’ sacrifice,

Who all were very wise.

Our country was protected,

Because they protested.

The Himalayas have worn a crown,

Giving birth to some of the greatest rivers,

The atmosphere here is filled with serenity,

Creating a nature that is very pretty!

One Moment

One moment I was in the air,

Above the clouds, nowhere to be found.

One moment I was below the Earth,

In its core I was bound.

One moment I was in a palace,

And the other in a cottage so small.

One moment I was happy with a stick

And the other, I hated my expensive ball.

Time changes as we go,

We can’t follow it; it just goes,

Time is precious

So this is what we learnt folks!

Thoughts

I’ll be as bold as a hill,

and stand tall to face all hurdles.

I’ll be as soft as a breeze

and bring pleasure and treasure.

I’ll be as fast as a wave,

washing away all stones coming in my way.

I’ll bring fame and never shame;

I’ll shine as bright as a star;

I’ll fight all obstacles with all my might;

But nobody knew that it was my last night.

Never Give Up

If I made a mistake,

then I would have to retake,

and do it once again,

even feel the pain.

But there also lays a prize,

and that made me realise that,

even if I was to fail,

it would be a learning trail.

If I hope for medals and a cup,

I can’t just rely on luck

I must do hard work,

to show the world my worth.

That’s the essence of never giving up!

Grandparents

Grandparents are a gift of god, They love their grandchildren a lot.

Their hearts are filled with love and kindness, They always teach things with politeness.

Parents are special to us, But grandparents are precious to us.

We always need their advice Because they are always understanding and are truly wise

When we achieve things to pride, They never forget to give us praise,

Grandparents are a gift of god, They love their grandchildren a lot
